I like it, the place is clean, you can make yourself a coffee to wait, my boyfriend got an implant and the professionalism was excellent, I have no complaints about it, the doctor's work was impeccable and we were given a term to pay $5,000.

The doctors at D'Amico Dental Care always make sure their patients are happy prior leaving the office. I had an implant done, and they made sure it has a perfect cut and shade before cementing it permanently. They have high quality equipment, materials, and professional staff that make the office an excellent practice. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great dentist, friendly staff and top-quality equipment that makes the appointment goes way less painful, much faster, and very precise.

I heard about D'Amico Dental Care on 98.5 The Sports Hub and decided to give them a try! They are located right on Main Street in Watertown, with a huge building and plenty of parking. The office is very impressive, filled with the latest technology and friendly staff. My first appointment with the doctors at D'Amico Dental Care was a comprehensive evaluation, and I could immediately appreciate their expertise, honesty, and recommendations. From there, I setup a cleaning a few days later, and it was one of the most thorough cleanings I've ever had. I highly recommend if you are looking for a new dentist, have new or different insurance, or need a crown/implant. You can tell the team has put a lot of time and effort into making their practice stand out in every aspect of patient experience, so go check it out — you'll be very impressed!

BEST dental office I've ever visited, and that's from someone that works in a hospital, but was terrified of dentist visits all my life. I have many complex issues (most stemming from the Eastern European dentistry of limited resources in my youth, and some from me just not seeing dentists regularly later on). When I moved in the area I looked for an experienced dentist. The doctors at D'Amico Dental Care competently took care of all my problems, explained me the options for each issue, and helped me chose the best solution. They also have an in-office machine can make these great looking ceramic crowns in few hours, and a computerized local anesthesia machine that makes all procedures practically pain free. So far, I had a small bone graft in the lower jaw followed by an implant, some fillings, a ceramic crown — and results are just amazing. Very highly recommended for anyone that can identify with my story!

First time patient at D'Amico Dental Care in Watertown. Very pleased with the service from the Technicians & the front desk employee! Found the doctors very pleasant to talk too & explained everything thoroughly. Very happy with results!

The first time I went to D'Amico was to get acquainted, get current with xrays and tell my woeful story of letting go of my dental care for years. I was met with compassion, concern and reassurance. I was smitten by the staff, Dr. Chris, and very taken by the immaculate, modern facility. Today, they literally brought me to tears. My first cleaning in years. Angela was thorough, kind, super aware, and truly the best dental hygienist I've ever seen. She is a perfect match for this practice that is friendly to the fearful and truly on top of dental practice advances. This gifted group is poised to help me turn my dental health around. I am grateful.

Is a Dental Implant the Right Solution for You?

Dental implants are not a one-size-fits-all recommendation. They are appropriate when the conditions are right and when the long-term outcome can be planned predictably.

You may be a good candidate for dental implants if:

The best way to know is through a proper consultation, examination, and imaging-based treatment plan.

  • You have enough healthy bone to support an implant, or you are open to procedures that help prepare the area
  • You want a stable, long-term replacement for a missing tooth
  • You want to avoid the movement or inconvenience that can come with removable options
  • Your oral health, bite, and overall treatment goals support a predictable result
  • You want a final outcome that is planned carefully rather than improvised along the way

The Dental Implant Process at D'Amico Dental Care

One reason patients feel more comfortable beginning implant treatment here is that the process is clearly structured from the start. Rather than moving forward with uncertainty, you receive a plan that explains what will happen, why it is being done, and what the final goal is.

1

Consultation and Precision Treatment Planning

This first visit is where the most important decisions are made.

At D'Amico Dental Care, the consultation is not approached as a sales appointment. It is a diagnostic and planning visit designed to determine whether implant treatment is appropriate and how to achieve the most stable, natural-looking result.

The doctors at D'Amico Dental Care personally lead this process. Because the same clinical team remains involved throughout treatment, your case benefits from continuity, familiarity, and a more cohesive clinical plan.

During this stage, we discuss:

  • Your dental concerns and treatment goals
  • Your health history and any factors that may affect implant planning
  • Your comfort needs and preferences
  • The aesthetic goals for the final restoration
  • The function, bite, and long-term stability of the proposed treatment

This planning stage may include:

  • A comprehensive clinical examination
  • Digital imaging to evaluate bone volume and nearby anatomical structures
  • Analysis of implant position before surgery
  • Evaluation of bite forces, smile balance, and facial harmony
  • Review of restoration options and treatment sequencing

Most importantly, the treatment plan is defined before anything begins. That plan can include:

  • The number of implants needed
  • The type of final restoration
  • The expected treatment timeline
  • Whether any preparatory procedures are required
  • The financial outline of treatment

For many patients, this is the point where uncertainty starts to disappear. You leave with a clearer understanding of what is possible, what is recommended, and what the next step would be.

2

Surgery Day — Implant Placement and Temporary Restoration

By the time surgery day arrives, the important decisions have already been made. That matters because it makes the experience feel calmer and more predictable.

The implant is placed according to the digital treatment plan developed during the consultation stage. When appropriate, a custom surgical guide is used to help position the implant with a high level of precision.

During this stage:

  • The implant is placed in its planned position
  • The procedure follows the treatment design created in advance
  • Controlled, careful surgical techniques are used throughout
  • The focus remains on precision, stability, and comfort

When clinically appropriate, a temporary restoration may be placed as part of the original plan. This can help patients:

  • Avoid leaving without a tooth in the treated area
  • Maintain a more natural appearance during healing
  • Speak and smile more comfortably while the implant integrates

Temporary teeth are not treated as an afterthought. When they are part of the plan, they are designed to support healing while preserving appearance and day-to-day confidence.

Healing and Tissue Integration

After implant placement, the body needs time to heal and integrate the implant with the bone.

This stage is important because long-term implant success depends not only on placement, but also on how well the implant becomes part of a stable biological foundation.

During healing:

  • The implant integrates with the surrounding bone
  • The soft tissue heals and matures
  • Stability is monitored over time
  • The site is allowed to develop into a strong base for the final restoration

This period is often quieter and less eventful than patients expect. There is no need to rush the process. Careful follow-up helps confirm that healing is progressing as planned and that the next phase can begin at the right time.

4

Final Restoration and Smile Completion

Once healing is complete and the implant is ready, the final crown or restoration is placed.

This stage is where planning, surgical precision, and restorative design come together. The goal is not for the implant to stand out, but for it to feel like it naturally belongs in your smile.

The final restoration is designed with attention to:

  • Shape
  • Color
  • Bite
  • Proportion
  • Harmony with nearby teeth and facial structure

Patients often say the most successful result is one they stop noticing. That is usually a sign that the tooth feels natural, functions well, and integrates visually with the rest of the smile.

At this stage, the implant is intended to be:

  • Stable
  • Functional
  • Natural-looking
  • Comfortable in daily life

With appropriate maintenance and regular care, dental implants can remain a reliable long-term solution for many patients.

What Patients Want to Know Before Starting Dental Implant Treatment

Before deciding on implant treatment, most patients are not just asking whether it can be done. They want to know whether it can be done well, whether it will feel manageable, and whether the result will justify the investment.

Will the implant look natural?

In most cases, that is one of the most important concerns.

A well-planned implant restoration should be designed to blend with your smile, support your bite, and look proportionate to your face and surrounding teeth. At D'Amico Dental Care, the final result is considered from the planning stage onward, not left to guesswork after surgery.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients find the experience more manageable than expected.

Implant placement is typically performed with local anesthesia, and the process is planned to reduce unnecessary stress and uncertainty. For many patients, anxiety comes less from pain itself and more from not knowing what to expect. That is why we explain the process clearly before treatment begins.

What if I have been told I do not have enough bone?

Insufficient bone does not automatically mean implants are impossible.

It may simply mean that the area needs closer evaluation, different timing, or additional procedures such as bone grafting or other preparatory treatment. Imaging and detailed planning help determine what is possible and what is most predictable.

How long does treatment take?

The timeline depends on your clinical situation, healing response, and whether preparatory treatment is needed.

In many cases, treatment includes:

  • Consultation and planning
  • Implant placement
  • A healing period of several months
  • Final restoration once integration is confirmed

The goal is not to make treatment feel fast at any cost, but to make it stable and predictable.

Can I have a temporary tooth during treatment?

In many cases, yes.

When the clinical situation allows, a temporary restoration can be planned so you are not left without a visible tooth while healing takes place.

Cost of Dental Implants in Wayland & Watertown, MA

For many patients, cost is not just about the number itself. It is about whether the financial side of treatment will feel clear, justified, and manageable.

What affects the cost of your treatment?

The cost of dental implant treatment can vary depending on:

The number of implants needed
Whether bone grafting or additional procedures are required
The type of final restoration
The complexity of the case
The planning, materials, and clinical approach involved

What matters most is that the cost should make sense in the context of a clearly defined treatment plan.

At D'Amico Dental Care, patients receive a structured explanation of what their treatment involves before moving forward. That helps reduce the frustration that often comes from vague pricing, shifting recommendations, or unexpected changes later in the process.

Why Patients Feel More Confident Starting at D'Amico Dental Care

Patients who move forward with implant treatment often say the same thing: they felt more comfortable once they understood the plan.

That confidence usually comes from a few key factors:

Treatment is explained clearly before it begins
The process feels organized rather than improvised
The same clinical team oversees the case throughout treatment
The final result is considered from the start
Decisions are made with long-term function and appearance in mind

Many patients arrive feeling unsure whether implants are even realistic for them. After a proper consultation, they often leave with something much more valuable than a sales pitch: a clear path.

FAQ About Dental Implants in Wayland & Watertown, MA

Honest answers to the questions patients ask most before starting implant treatment.

Dental implants are recommended when they can provide a predictable, long-term result and when the supporting conditions are appropriate. The best way to know is through a consultation that evaluates your bone, bite, oral health, and treatment goals.

Most patients say the procedure is easier than they expected. Implant placement is usually performed under local anesthesia, and the process is carefully explained in advance so you know what to expect during treatment and recovery.

That does not automatically mean implants are not possible. Some patients may benefit from bone grafting or other preparatory treatment. Proper imaging and planning are needed to determine the best approach.

Treatment length depends on your case, but it often includes a consultation and planning phase, implant placement, several months of healing, and final restoration once the implant has integrated properly.

A well-planned implant should look balanced in your smile and feel stable in everyday function. The final restoration is designed to blend with your surrounding teeth and support a natural bite.

In many cases, yes. When clinically appropriate, a temporary restoration can be placed so you can maintain your appearance and feel more comfortable during the healing phase.

No treatment is completely risk-free, but many complications can be reduced through careful planning, proper case selection, controlled technique, and consistent follow-up care.

That depends on the case, but the treatment plan generally outlines the surgical and restorative steps, implant components, and follow-up care involved. A proper consultation helps clarify exactly what is included.

Prices can differ because of differences in planning quality, implant systems, materials, clinical experience, restorative design, and how much follow-up and precision are built into the process.

Patients often choose D'Amico Dental Care because the process feels clear, organized, and thoughtfully planned. They value the continuity of care, the attention to natural-looking results, and the ability to move forward without pressure.
